Dining at some of Chicago's best Chinese
restaurants in Chinatown and Uptown, we tried
several specialty dishes. Here are our Chinese Restaurant Reviews:

Evergreen
Restaurant
- This authentic Chinatown
restaurant seems to be always packed with locals who have been dining there for
years. At this first stop, we tried the Peking duck and approved it with five
gold stars. While waiting for the other Chinese dishes, we could overhear the
locals talking about how they have been coming here for years, which must be a
good thing.

Evergreen's Menu- Also worth a
try is the Sizzling Peking Shrimps that come on a sizzling plate with a spicy
sauce and the Triple Delight which is a combination of beef, chicken, and shrimp
stir fried with mushrooms.

Furama
Restaurant
- Furama Chinese restaurant features inexpensive but
excellent dim
sum
. Parking is not an issue as a free parking lot is located next to
the restaurant.

Furama's Menu- We ordered Braised
Duck with seafood vegetables as well as the Cantonese Roast Duck. If you're in
the mood for a crispy delicacy, we recommend the Roast Duck.

Hai Yen
Chinese Restaurant
- Hai Yen is an uptown
restaurant that was recommended to us for the bubble tea. The bottom line is we
came for the bubble tea and left filled and happy. This traditional Vietnamese
and Chinese cuisine restaurant cooks with fresh herbs and sauces and also gives
you the opportunity to do the same with their fondue and grills.

Hai Yen's Chinese Menu - From the
Chinese menu, we ordered the Red Snapper and the Fresh Shrimp cooked without its
shell in a spicy salt and pepper sauce. As an accompanying dish, the crispy
fresh rice noodles with seafood and vegetables were a perfect complement.

Happy
Chef Chinese Restaurant
- A
popular dim sum restaurant is the Happy Chef Chinese restaurant, which is
considered to be one of the best dim sum restaurants in Chicago's Chinatown. The
tables are covered with the white garbage bags, which added to our dim sum
dining experience.

Happy Chef's Menu- In addition to
the dim sum, we tried some of Happy Chef's vegetarian dishes such as the Braised
Tofu with shitake mushroom and the Braised Black Mushroom and Bok Choy in oyster
sauce. Both dishes are very tasty and worth ordering.

Lao Sze
Chuan
- Lao Sze Chuan is the perfect restaurant if you like authentic
Szechuan cuisine. The food is prepared with
spices and seasonings imported directly from China.

Lao Sze Chuan's Menu- At this
restaurant, we made a bold move and ordered the Chili Rabbit. It was absolutely
delicious. The truth is if I didn't
know that it was rabbit, I wouldn't have been able to tell.

Moon
Palace
Restaurant-
Moon Palace Chinese restaurant, located in Chinatown,
serves traditional Shanghai cuisine and attracts a more youthful
crowd. It is known for its friendly customer service, quality food, and relaxed
atmosphere.

Moon Palace's Menu- We recommend the Shanghai
Style Eel Fish, Chicken Shanghai Style, and the Fried Pork Chop with salt and
pepper.
