Paris, France is one of the most popular travel destinations in the world for families of all shapes and sizes. One can explore the Eiffel Tower or learn about art at some of the most famous museums in the world as well as so much more. The Eiffel Tower in Paris, France is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and is a top travel destination for families from all over the world with over 5.5 million people visiting the landmark each year. It stands 986 ft. or 25 stories tall making it the tallest structure in Paris. One can travel to the top of the Eiffel Tower for a beautiful view of the city. One can travel up 1665 steps to the second floor of the towel and then take an elevator to the top. The Eiffel Tower can be climbed at both day and night. At night, the tower lights up and at regular intervals of time, it displays a stunning light show with thousands of flickering lights. Another popular travel destination in Paris is the Avenue des Champs-Elysées which features of hundreds of world famous shops, boutiques, showrooms, and restaurants, making it a shoppers paradise. Another popular destination among those who enjoy art is the Louvre Museum, one of the most famous art museums in the world. It features hundreds of sculptures and paintings, many of which are world famous and centuries old. None of the art pieces in the museum however, is more famous than the Mona Lisa painted by Leonardo Di Vinci in Renaissance Time Period. Visiting The Palace at Versailles just out of the city of Paris is also another popular historical destination for families. The palace is one of the biggest and most magnificent in the world . It was built by King Louie XIV of France in the 18th century to house many of the royal and government officials. One can take a guided tour of the palace or travel by his or her self through the areas and gardens of the palace that are open to the public. One can explore the royal quarters as well as the grand hall and other areas inside the palace as well as explore the dozens of beautiful gardens in the rear of the palace. Paris truly is a city of wonder with many things to do for your whole family.
